St. John’s 175TH Anniversary

October 27

St. John’s 175th Anniversary Rededication Service and Dinner
Reformation Sunday, October 27th, will be a very special day at St. John’s!

Please note that there will be only one worship service that weekend: 11:00 on Sunday in the Main Sanctuary.

The Reverend Doctor Amy Little, General Secretary of the North American Lutheran Church, will be our guest preacher that day. We’ll have a children’s message, children’s
church, and a beautiful mix of music during the worship service, including a special large choir piece, instrumentalists, and some contemporary songs alongside our traditional
hymns. During worship, we will also rededicate our congregation to Christ’s mission.

Weather permitting, after worship, everyone will be encouraged to come to the south lawn (outside the main entrance on the Columbus Street side) for a 175th Anniversary
group picture. In case of rain, we’ll move the picture-taking to the Family Life Center.

After the picture, please come to the Family Life Center for a delicious dinner and some special presentations.

It’s going to be a beautiful day of celebration and thanksgiving to God for the blessings he has poured out upon our congregation these past 175 years.
We hope you and your family can come!

Please indicate the number of people in your family who will be attending the dinner in the salmon sheets in the bulletins before October 20th!
