The Bible Project began Ash Wednesday, Feb. 26th and goes through Lent, until Easter Sunday, April 12th.
The 3rd—6th grade students are collecting monies to buy new Bibles for the Bed Brigade. When the Bed Brigade delivers beds, families will get a new Bible!
When church activities are open, pick up a special offering envelope in the link area or north entrance. Otherwise, donations can be made online or checks can be mailed to the church. Whether donating online or via check/cash, please make sure the memo line specifies: “Bible Project.”
This project is being led by 3rd—6th grade students. They have posters up throughout the church that they’ve colored. They’ve also written about their favorite Bible story which will be posted in the March/ April Eagle and also in weekly bulletins. The students are also checking on the envelopes every week and coming around and sharing the project to different small groups. You’ll also see several students share this month through temple talks (when worship is meeting), Facebook posts on the St. John’s private Facebook page, and through future blog post updates.
One thing is for certain, they are very excited about collecting monies to buy Bibles for the Bed Brigade recipients! After Easter students will purchase and deliver Bibles to the Grove City Bed Brigade site.
