Dear Mexico Mission Trip Supporters –
Thank you so much for all of your support and helping send us to Mexico! This was my first time going, and I had a great time! The children definitely touched my heart. We made lots of great memories with the children and went on many adventures. One of my favorite memories during the week was going to the beach with the children. My two ninas, Valeria and Geraldine, were a couple of the younger children, but they were so brave in the water, as they both got on the boogie board, and giggled as the waves pushed them off. Eventually they warmed up to the water even more and we moved out further to where the waves were stronger and higher. We were barely taller than the water! We all held hands and laughed hysterically as we jumped the waves and got knocked over by the water.
It was so great getting to share so much laughter with them, even though communication was difficult, God really showed me that love has no language. These children were wonderful and inspiring because despite any negativity or evidence of things gone wrong in their lives, they continued to be loving, and always had smiles on their cute faces.
It’s amazing how people can become so important to you, even after a short time, and being from different countries. I can’t wait to go back next year and see them again!
