DESCRIPTION:St. John’s 175th Anniversary Rededication Service and Dinner\nReformation Sunday\, October 27th\, will be a very special day at St. John’s!\nPlease note that there will be only one worship service that weekend: 11:00 on Sunday in the Main Sanctuary. \nThe Reverend Doctor Amy Little\, General Secretary of the North American Lutheran Church\, will be our guest preacher that day. We’ll have a children’s message\, children’s\nchurch\, and a beautiful mix of music during the worship service\, including a special large choir piece\, instrumentalists\, and some contemporary songs alongside our traditional\nhymns. During worship\, we will also rededicate our congregation to Christ’s mission. \nWeather permitting\, after worship\, everyone will be encouraged to come to the south lawn (outside the main entrance on the Columbus Street side) for a 175th Anniversary\ngroup picture. In case of rain\, we’ll move the picture-taking to the Family Life Center. \nAfter the picture\, please come to the Family Life Center for a delicious dinner and some special presentations. \nIt’s going to be a beautiful day of celebration and thanksgiving to God for the blessings he has poured out upon our congregation these past 175 years.\nWe hope you and your family can come! \nPlease indicate the number of people in your family who will be attending the dinner in the salmon sheets in the bulletins before October 20th!

DESCRIPTION:Outdoor Worship and Annual Church Picnic. \nOn August 24th at 10:45am\, we will combine our three Sunday worship services into one grand outdoor worship event! Bring lawn chairs and dress causal as we gather by our Shelter House to praise God under His clear blue sky. \nNote that the 4pm worship service will be held as usual Saturday\, August 23rd\, but please join us on Sunday for the picnic! \nThe Church Picnic will be here before you know it! We have set aside Sunday\, August 24th for this time of fellowship. \nWe will gather in the Shelter House (weather permitting) immediately following the Outdoor Worship Service. Everything will be provided for the picnic; however\, we will be collecting a ‘free will offering’ to help offset the cost. \nAll donations will be greatly appreciated! Please bring a dessert to share.
