What says fall more than the vibrantly colored leaves, football, colder weather and pumpkins? How about chili and apple pies (along with many other delicious desserts)!?! Yes, it is hard to believe but we are getting that much closer to Thanksgiving, which means it’s time to start thinking about the annual Chili Cook-Off and Dessert Auction for Missions on Sunday, November 19th from 12.30 – 2 PM.
Please join us is the Fellowship Hall (located in the basement) for fellowship and great food: of course chili, hot dogs, cornbread and more!
We need you and your votes to help pick this years winner! Whether you want to enter your chili and compete with others for the prestigious title (and prize), make a delicious baked good or dessert to donate to the auction, or bid on desserts, it is a great afternoon to spend together in support of our short-term mission teams traveling to Alaska & Mexico.
With Thanksgiving later that week, you will not want to forget to bring your checkbooks to take some delicious desserts home and present to your family and friends (and don’t tell them where you got it…your secret is safe with us!).
