Bed Brigade continues our bed deliveries to Central Ohio. We’ve delivered over 1500 beds since inception 4 years ago, and 127 beds so far this year. We have several significant opportunities for volunteers to build and deliver beds in June and July. ACTS in Grove City on June 10th and YouthWorks for 12 separate service days within a 5 week span. These, combined with several of our regular deliveries, will allow us to deliver close to 180 beds, just within those two months.
That is 180 kids (with a handful of adults) that can receive a tangible expression of God’s love and presence in their lives.
Our delivery teams also go into their homes to set up the beds for them. We provide sheets, blankets, pillows, Bibles, prayer cloths, stuffed animals, and a prayer for the family.
THE DILEMMA … we currently don’t have funds to make it beyond two more months of regular activities – much less the ability to take on an initiative like this. We need a significant inpouring of financial support to allow us to proceed. Bed Brigade only uses the money in our account, given for the purpose of this ministry.
We believe God is calling us to meet this opportunity. Please prayerfully consider giving your best to Bed Brigade. We are in need of $10,000 just to meet these June and July plans. Outside of June and July, we have been tracking spending of $2,200 per month. Ideally we would need to receive enough to keep us busy beyond July, as well.
