There are more cell phones in the world today then toothbrushes.

The average goat-herder in the plains of Africa—who has a smart phone (most of them do; some have 2)—has access to more information than President Bill Clinton did in his first term of office.

We live in a different world today. Can we capitalize on this new world for the sake of the Gospel?

My guess is you are busy like me, your calendar is full. You’ve got errands and appointments and deadlines. Life is busy. But that doesn’t mean the Give of Life doesn’t want to spend some of your time too. One mark of a disciple is investing time each day in reading the Word. Now, I go lots of places through the week. And, if I’m honest, I don’t take my Bible with me most of the time. In the same vain, I rarely forget my iPhone. And, if I do, I turn around to go get it.

Thanks to the Bible App—If I’ve got my phone—I’ve got my bible!

The YouVersion Bible app was one of the very first apps offered in the app store as smart phones hit the market. Since that time it has been downloaded more than any other bible app on every platform (over 193 million downloads). It gives you access to 100’s of different translations; allows you to highlight verses; take notes; and connect with other people so that you can read the scripture together. Follow the appropriate links below to down load the Bible app on your smart phone or tablet.

For more information on how I have used the Bible App and ways to read scripture together, follow this link.
