Our traditional worship at St. John's is vibrant and faithful. It follows the ancient liturgy and speaks to the mystery, holiness, and sacredness of the Trinity. Each worship service includes the rite of Holy Communion. In this simple meal God speaks and does profound things. As we gather at the table, God's forgiveness is given freely and fully. We are filled and restored, empowered and sent, united and joined. We believe that God is truly present in, with, and under the bread and the wine. It becomes the body and blood of Jesus. Traditional worship is also about the people gathered to sing God's praise. We sing the hymns of the church, the psalms of the scriptures, and the powerful songs of the scriptures--and by it we are enriched. Worship is always about pointing to God. It isn't about us. It isn't about what I get out of it or about how it makes me feel. Worship is our devotion and glory given to the one who is worthy of all praise and honor. The organ is the primary instrument used in leading our liturgy. You can join us for any of our traditional worship services on Saturday night at 6:00 pm or on Sunday morning at 8:15 and 11:00 am.
